About Iulia
I am a certified coach, a technology leader, and a first-generation immigrant who built a remarkable career across three countries - without a blueprint.
My story begins in Romania. Immigrating first to Canada, then to the United States, I learned early what it means to rebuild from scratch - to enter unfamiliar terrain with no roadmap and figure it out anyway. That experience of starting over, repeatedly and intentionally, became one of my greatest professional assets.
For three decades I built systems designed to scale - distributed architectures, high-performing teams, and organizations that could navigate complexity and change. Then I made the shift into leadership, spending the next decade leading engineering organizations through ambiguity, coaching and mentoring professionals, and driving change that turns strategy into results.
Along the way I raised two kids, returned to school at 45 to earn an MBA, and navigated marriage, divorce, single parenting, empty nesting, and career reinvention. Not in isolation - often at once.
Intellectual curiosity, deep empathy, and a lifelong commitment to growth - these are what made me a natural coach. Over two decades, the part of my work that lit me up most was always the people - mentoring, guiding, and helping others discover what was truly possible for them. I could no longer ignore the calling.
What I bring to coaching is rare: the analytical rigor of a systems thinker, the empathy of someone who has led both people and self through real hardship, and the practical playbook of a seasoned business leader. I bring a foundation that most coaches simply don't have.
